About

Becky Francis MBACP

I offer counselling and psychotherapy to people who would like to talk to someone in a professional capacity to help guide them through issues they may be having.  I hold a Diploma in TA Psychotherapy Practice and am BACP Registered.  I attend monthly supervision and CPD to remain accountable for my work with clients.  I have retrained into the counselling and psychotherapy field over the last 7 years and am passionate about helping people overcome any struggles or obstacles they feel they may have for whatever reason.

My focus

I work with individuals who would like to see change but might be unsure of how to do that. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space to listen. I have worked with many issues including anxiety, stress, depression, abuse, panic attacks, trauma, addiction, etc.  I work with all issues including anxiety, stress, depression, abuse, divorce, relationship issues, life events, bereavement, grief, panic attacks, trauma, addiction, etc.

Next steps

I aim to respond within 48 hours. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation if you’d like to talk first.

Is it for me?

Depression, fear, sadness and anger are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience during our lives and sometimes we can go through a really bad time. Through counselling and psychotherapy, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective and joy that you might once may have had in your life. If you’re feeling low, stressed, angry or out of sorts then we can meet to talk. My hope is that we can work together to look at the way ahead for you or I may be able to help signpost you to further help.

What do you do?

I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy based in TA (Transactional Analysis). TA is a talking therapy working towards change and growth. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space to develop the therapeutic relationship and talk. We will work together to look at behaviour, thoughts and feelings that are current and/or affected by the past. We work together with your own resources and resilience. TA is based on three principles: 1) everyone is ok 2) everyone is capable of making decisions and 3) change is possible.

Trauma and PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances or events. Anxiety, fear and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events but it may not be PTSD. We can work together to guide you through your symptoms and the way forward for you.
